Counselor

I am grateful to be the School Counselor at Spinning elementary. I am here in support of all Spinning students, staff, and families in our community. I follow the American School Counselor Association National Model to provide education, prevention, and intervention activities.

Direct support to students includes:

• Teaching classroom lessons
• Short-term counseling support to individual students or small groups
• Small groups are provided to help students with heightened stress, critical change, transitions, and other situations impeding student success.
• Referrals for long-term support

 Additional ways I support our students and families is acting as the 504 coordinator, organizing holiday support, daily collaboration with teachers, and staff, and connecting our families to outside services and resources and much more!
